We're here to help you
find your flow again.

"We are a mobile clinic offering holistic, trauma-informed and client-centred occupational therapy across Gadigal Land (Sydney) — the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs and Inner City, including suburbs like Newtown, Surry Hills, Bondi, Marrickville and Redfern.

Every person deserves a life that feels meaningful.

At Life Flow Occupational Therapy, we believe that every person (regardless of their mental health challenges or psychosocial disability) deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, connected, and fulfilling life.

LifeFlow was created after years of working across Sydney's mental health sector and recognising a growing need for services that truly understand and prioritise the unique experiences of people living with psychosocial disabilities. A service that also understands the community and has a strong knowledge of the services available to support those with psychosocial disabilities.

Too often, individuals navigating mental health challenges feel overlooked, misunderstood, or unsupported within systems that are difficult to access and even harder to navigate alone. We built LifeFlow to be different.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, person-centred occupational therapy that helps people regain flow, purpose, confidence and joy.

Why LifeFlow?

The name Life Flow was inspired by the Kawa Model, an occupational therapy framework developed by Dr. Michael Iwama that represents a person's life as a flowing river.

When the river flows freely, life feels balanced, connected, and manageable. When obstacles arise (mental health challenges, trauma, stress, isolation, disability, or difficult environments) the flow becomes restricted or blocked.

Occupational therapy isn't about "fixing" a person. It's about supporting them to improve the flow of their life in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable to them. That's what we hope to achieve at LifeFlow.

We help people identify their strengths, reconnect with their interests and passions, and build the practical skills and confidence to participate fully in life. Whether that's developing routines, improving independence, strengthening emotional regulation, reconnecting socially, or exploring meaningful work and activities.

Our approach

We walk alongside each person in a way that respects their goals, their identity, and their lived experience.
Our practice is grounded in:

  • Recovery-Oriented Practice

We believe recovery is personal, non-linear, and defined by you and not by a clinical framework. We build around your version of a meaningful life.

  • Trauma-Informed Care

We understand that history shapes the present. Our practice is grounded in safety, trust, and moving at a pace that feels right for you.

  • Strengths-Based

We start with what you're good at and what matters to you - not with what's wrong. Every person has unique strengths worth building on.

  • Neuroaffirming Practice

Autism-informed, ADHD-informed, and identity-affirming. We celebrate neurodiversity and tailor our approach to how your brain works best.

  • LGBTQIA+ Affirming

A genuinely safe and affirming space. Identity-affirming practice grounded in compassion, respect, and an understanding of diverse lived experiences.

  • Holistic & Collaborative

We connect the dots between your health, your environment, your relationships, and your community - and we don't work in isolation from your other supports.

Mental health conditions we support

We work with adults navigating a wide range of mental health diagnoses, psychosocial disabilities and life challenges, including but not limited to:

Anxiety Depression Bipolar Disorder Schizophrenia Psychosis PTSD & Complex Trauma Personality Disorders OCD ADHD Autism Intellectual Disability Burnout Psychosocial Disability

Meet William Wolfenden

Founder & Occupational Therapist of Life Flow OT

Will is an Occupational Therapist who brings his love of life and over 10 years of experience working in mental health to everything he does. He uses creative ways to help people discover their own unique strengths and purpose - empowering them to increase their capacity, develop their skills, and achieve their goals.

He aims for them to find meaning and purpose in life, whatever the challenges may be. Will is an active person who enjoys surfing and being near any body of water, cycling, dancing and connecting with others. He draws on his own lived experience and knows first-hand how mental illness and psychosocial disability can impact people’s lives and their loved ones. He has worked extensively across Sydney in a variety of settings (including in-patient and community mental health teams in Newcastle and Sydney) and teaches casually at Australia Catholic University. These experiences have provided him with a breadth of skills and knowledge across all psychosocial disabilities and beyond.

Will is someone who values human connection, creativity, and compassion in everything he does. He founded LifeFlow because he saw what was missing in the system and decided to build the kind of service he'd want for the people he loves using his knowledge and connections he’s built in Sydney over the years.

"Our vision is to create a service that feels joyful, safe, human, and hopeful! Everyone deserves support to navigate life's challenges and move toward the life they want to live."
